About Me

Who am I?

Hi, my name is Megan.

“True strength lies not in doing everything alone, but in recognising the power of collaboration. Outsourcing isn’t a sign of weakness; it’s a strategic step toward achieving greater success together.”

MI Virtual Services – Your Virtual Assistant®

My journey

My name is Megan, born in Scotland.

In 2003 my family and I relocated to Tenerife, where I spent a wonderful 15 years before returning to the UK in January 2018.

After 16 years of working in various industries, such as hospitality, financial services and NHS and Private Dentistry, I decided to make a change for my family and offer them more of the time I have completely dedicated to other people.

Working 40 + hours per week, for very little gain left me, like most people, exhausted!

But I didn’t want to stop working. My parents have always pushed us to work hard, to earn our keep, and to do the very best we can—for ourselves, for our family, and for those we meet along the way.

So, after thinking long and hard about what I wanted, and who I wanted to help, MI Virtual Services was born.

I launched MI Virtual Services in October 2023, while on maternity leave from the birth of my second daughter.

If you’re wondering, MI are my daughters’ initials, because that is who I am working hardest for.

I have been nominated and a finalist 2 years running as the Women In Business “Mum in Business” Award (2024, 2025).

I’m thrilled to share that MI Virtual Services is now a Support Hub Directory Business Premium Member!

For those who might not be familiar, Access to Work is a UK government grant that provides practical and financial support to individuals with disabilities or health conditions, helping them to stay in or get into work. This can include funding for specialist equipment, software, or professional support—like virtual assistance!

What this means:
As an approved Support Hub member, I can now offer my virtual assistant services to individuals who receive the Access to Work grant.

Whether it’s admin support, diary management, email handling, or streamlining day-to-day tasks, I’m here to help recipients of the grant work more effectively and with less stress.

If you or someone you know could benefit from Access to Work support, let’s connect! I’d love to help make VA support more accessible and manageable.

Happy Clients

“Since I started working with Megan back in November 2023, my business has dramatically transformed. Megan knows how to anticipate, use her initiative, and will make suggestions for improvements. All in her friendly, warm, professional manner. She is keen to learn and picks up systems and processes quickly. Not only has Megan taken on tasks with ease, but she has my back and supports me and my vision 100%. For me, this is invaluable as it can feel quite lonely running your own business and having Megan there to cheerlead me has really improved my mindset. Instead of getting bogged down in the admin and structure of how things work, Megan has taken that completely off my hands – and is managing it all smoothly. I trust Megan 100% with my business admin and would not hesitate to recommend her.”

“Megan has been an absolute joy to work with from the word go. I needed someone to help with admin and regular tasks within my growing business, and adapt as needed to the changes I decided to implement (which were sometimes rapid and complex). Megan very calmly and seamlessly took on everything I sent her way, delivered projects within the time requested, and communicated openly and effectively throughout. Added to that, she is extremely warm and personable and nothing is ever too much trouble; she readily embraces new challenges and tech and has always tried to meet requests in whatever way works best for me, keeping the needs of myself and my business front of mind. I would highly recommend her for anybody needing flexible VA support from someone who really cares about seeing your business succeed.”
